Gone, But not Forgotten

Yes, I've been bad about neglecting this blog, but I have decided to resume posting again as I saw I had gotten comments from a few interested folks. I love my pocketbook doll collection and can't wait to share more in the coming days. Unfortunately, I don't know when I'll be able to post pictures because my laptop died, and I don't know when I'll get a new one. Til then, keep checking back in cause ya never know when I'll pop up.

What's missing from the inside?

Of course you need to see all the furniture that Remco made for the girls...Here's another set I don't have. Maybe someday I can find it complete on ebay. I missed the 2 toy shows in Orlando because I wasn't aware they were coming. Talk about being bummed out.

A Home is not complete.....

without all it's accoutrements...again, another piece I am dying to get my hands on.

And here's another view of their patio that I found in my picture archives. Man, those girls had it so good.

Heidi and Jan's Abode

Sure wish I could get my hands on this cute little house for my collection. Here are a couple of other views....these again are what I have been able to find from ebay sellers. It does appear that all the other furniture pieces wouldn't be able to fit in said house. I've always wanted a full scale dollhouse to display all my treasures, but it's not going to happen. Then again, I need my own bigger house to accomodate all the stuff I've got!

Here's Pip

No sooner had I mentioned Pip, when someone posted one for sale on ebay! Maybe someone's on the same wavelength as I am. Anyway, that takes care of all the dolls that I know of in the pocketbook doll family! Next time, I'll start with the playsets.

Here's Herby

As promised, here's what Herby looks like....and I stated that he was a friend of Heidi's....I should have said brother. I went through my back up discs of pics to find this. Strangely enough, I don't have one of Pip. Guess that's my next mission. If you look at my sidebar, I've decided to list all the playsets before showing the pics. It will be a point of reference. Hopefully soon, I will do the same with all the outfits.
And, I'm experimenting with making them some new outfits. I'll post a pic soon...maybe later today!

One last thing....I should mention that all the photos of items I don't have, were found on ebay. I'd love to give all the different sellers their credit, but at the time I saved the pics, I never dreamed I'd eventually do the blog. So, to all those wonderful sellers on ebay, THANK YOU! I hope my posting your pics isn't a problem!~:)

My measely collection of dolls

To the left, that's my original 1964 Heidi sans clothing and case. In the middle is Jan with her original clothing and her carrying case. The 3rd doll is Heidi again, but with a variation. By pulling on her torso, she grows...and as you can see, she is taller than the other 2. Now, On the right is Spunky, one of Heidi and Jan's friends. I purchased her on ebay 3 years ago without her case and shoes. At the time, I thought I was getting a good deal, but since then, I've seen the doll complete and with her case. Oh, her case was bright yellow. Then, lastly, I own Hildy, Heidi's younger sister. This doll is almost brand new because around the time I got her, I quit playing with dolls.

There are 2 other dolls I am missing from this collection, but I have had a hard time getting them. They are Pip and Herby-more of Heidi's friends. I may have their pictures somewhere in all this computer mess, and will post them next time.
